This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In fifth grade reading comprehension is so crucial and being able to give students the opportunity to build their reading comprehension skills is so important. That is why these books would make such a difference to my students. These book would make book groups possible in the classroom so that students can learn through reading but they can also be challenged through comprehension by reading these books and having to recall information and events from the reading.
With your help, students will be able to flourish with their learning because they will not only be exposed to reading so many different books, but they will be able to use the skills we have learned this year in school and apply them to the book.
Skills such as: conflict/resolution, sequence, cause and effect, figurative language and so much more!
