Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have known most of my students since they were in Kindergarten. Over the years I have seen how much they have matured and learned. The Special Education classrooms have always been pretty plain so that they do not distract the students while learning. We have a huge empty planter box outside of our windows. I would love for them to be able to see beautiful flowers growing and maybe even take some home to parents for special holidays. I would also love to have better quality air in our classroom. We are constantly dealing with illnesses. The indoor plants will beautify our room but will also produce oxygen for us to breathe. I would love to be able to change the filter in our air purifier more often. I have some guppies at home that I am able to bring in to the classroom so we can finally have class pets to take care of.
