Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are from a variety of very diverse backgrounds and cultures making our classrooms a true melting pot of ideas and interests. Their backgrounds have made them bright and engaging young people with a level of resiliency we, as their teachers, have come to admire very much!
Help us provide our students with items that will ensure we are meeting their social emotional needs, in addition to their academic ones!
Students cannot learn until they feel emotionally and physically safe at school. With new students entering our classes consistently throughout the year, these items will help us provide students with choice (in seating) and a safe space to decompress when needed (calming corner supplies and fidgets).
