Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Welcome to our alternative school program! We are located in a large urban school district just outside of Boston. Our program is designed to provide extra support and resources to help students succeed. We are passionate about our students, and we are always looking for ways to help them achieve their goals.
As educators, we know that nutrition plays a crucial role in student health and academic success.
One of the ways we support our students is through our positive behavior incentive program. Students can earn fake money for exhibiting positive behaviors, which they can then use to "buy" items from our program store. However, we have noticed that our students always want food, and we want to provide them with healthier options. By providing our students with healthier snack options, we can help them stay focused and energized throughout the day.
We have been using our own money to buy the snacks, but unfortunately, we cannot afford healthy options on our own. As a result, we have had to resort unhealthy choices that are cheaper but not beneficial for our students' health and well-being.
Our students are extremely resilient, hard-working, and have big hearts. We are committed to helping them reach their full potential, and we believe that with your support, we can make a difference in their lives. Thank you for considering our program and for supporting our students!
