This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At this point in the year, we are running low on many basic classroom supplies. Many student folders and supply kits are falling apart! Many supplies I bought and had donated at the beginning of the year such as pencils, markers, and erasers are falling apart and can no longer be used. I believe that new supplies for the students would rejuvenate their attitudes and excitement for learning and help motivate them to continue working hard, and focus on learning for that last few months of the school year!
These new schools supplies would positively impact my students learning and keep them engaged and organized for the rest of the year.
I have ordered new folders to help with organization of students papers and resources they are given. This will help keep them neatly in their desks ready to use. I also ordered new supplies bags to keep their new supplies, like markers, pencils, and glue sticks together and ready for all the fun end of the year projects. I ordered new colored paper for some poster presentations combined with all the new art supplies, this will engage them in end of they year projects. At this point in the year we have run out of ink for the printers so I have ordered new cartridges to be able to print worksheets and resources for our projects. The end of the school year is very busy with lots of fun activities and these supplies will help us to to stay organized and engaged!
