My students are highly motivated by earning our schoolwide RAM tickets for following our rules - respectful, always responsible, making time to be kind, and safe choices. They can earn these from me, as well as other support staff throughout the building.
My students will be able to earn tickets for positive actions, behavior, and meeting academic goals to use to buy items from our classroom store.
Every week my students have the opportunity for earning RAM tickets and having their names drawn, but don't fully understand the concept of a school drawing. Each week their RAM tickets are recycled after the drawing, but I have decided to make good use of them instead of recycling them.
My students will put their old RAM tickets in a chart in our room to display and at the end of the month, they will count how many they have and can use them to buy items such as Pokemon cards, Pokemon stickers, Pokemon bracelets, Pokemon figurines, and Pokemon keychains.
This will make meaning out of earning as much as you can for having good behavior, meeting academic goals, and being a good student.
My students are loving Pokemon right now so this will be fun for them to work hard, follow directions, and buy fun Pokemon things.
I am excited to put to use the old RAM tickets instead of being wasteful and recycling them.
