Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love seeing students thrive in a place where they feel safe, have fun, and want to learn. I am so excited to be moving to Transitional Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year and providing an engaging and exciting environment for my 4-5 year old students! In TK, students will learn through play and socialization - these tools will provide lots of opportunities to do just that!
Problem solving, compromising, taking turns, working with others - these are just a few of the skills that I hope students in my TK classroom will learn and practice every day.
Having toys such as a train set, play cars, and town rug will help them with oral language development, creativity and working together. A grocery store with food will serve as a great place to learn how to take turns and be imaginative. Puzzles and lacing cards will add to our collection of activities that can be done alone or with a friend - giving students a choice to continue play at a slower pace.
Play is such an important part of learning, especially for 4 - 5 year olds! I am excited to provide a myriad of opportunities for students to learn through play in my TK classroom!
