In kindergarten, we learn best with multi-sensory, hands-on lessons! These learning centers will give that to my students while also reinforcing standards, learning targets, and fine motor skills. Centers also support valuable social-emotional learning in the classroom.
Using choice centers also provides students with opportunities to develop social emotional and problem solving skills as they are required to work together, with different groups of students of all different abilities and backgrounds.
These centers include items like LEGO, learning toys, and kinetic sand that are learning-based and will greatly benefit my kindergarteners this year, as they grow and develop their literacy, math and social emotional skills!
