My Project

Please help support our students at Roosevelt Elementary with Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Equipment to use with our 'Traffic Garden' which is being constructed on the playground by the City of Tacoma. We are a title 1 school striving to provide our students with an equitable experience. We are partnering with the City of Tacoma and will be receiving a 'Traffic Garden' on our playground concrete for students to implement the 'Traffic and Pedestrian Safety' Curriculum for ages 5-12 years old.

We currently do not have any equipment for the students to use with the 'Traffic Garden,' therefore, we are kindly asking for your support to provide these students with scooters, traffic signs, and cones to incorporate healthy play related to traffic and pedestrian safety.

This unit will also be taught during Health and PE, as well as during recess. The students who will use this equipment in the Traffic Garden range from preschool to 5th grade.
