My students love learning through puzzles, games, and educational learning resources during our reading and math center rotations.
Learning to read sight words in a fun educational game will help my students learn and connect words to memory!
This sight word game will help my students learn letters and 2 rounds of sight words up to the first 200 words. The point of the game is like memory, students flip the pizza pieces over and when they get the card correct, they keep the piece of pizza. I will use this game as a one-on-one assessment of my student's knowledge of words. They can also play with a partner while in small groups.
Kindergarten asks students to know the first 100 words, but I am pushing my students to learn the first 200 so they are ready for first grade.
I will use the pointers to help my students point to a piece while learning because they are loving acting like "teachers" this will help them have fun and still learn.
I also need organization tubs to store beginning, middle, and end-of-the-year games and puzzles to make it easy to pull out each tub for the time of year! My classroom has little to no storage so having these bins will make things a lot easier and cleaner to store away until needed.
