Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 6th graders from New York City. Most of these individuals have disabilities and are placed in special education classrooms. Many of my students are struggling and are not meeting grade appropriate academic expectations. I hope to use this project to help my students.

My Project

These materials are meant to help give students fun and interactive ways to participate in learning. Items in this project will help students focus and learn effectively in the classroom, many of these items will help students calm down and have an easier time completing their classwork.

One special item in this project is a rock digging kit.

My students have shown interests in different rock and crystal types. This hands on activity will be fun and engaging for my students. Students will work together to find different rock types and use their findings to inspire their further learning and research of the Earth and its many wonders.
