My Project

I get to teach 19 amazing TK students 5 days a week. These students always walk in with a huge smile and eagerness for the day. As we continue on our TK journey, I am realizing the need for more hands on items for my students.

Students in TK need to engage in meaningful play everyday.

I love the materials that are in this grant. One of their centers during the day is called "story telling." At this center they are given certain materials to create their own story. The mirrors, traffic signs, toy pandas, and wood bowls are for this center. I will lay out these materials, along with a few other items I already have in the classroom, and they will create their own story. I have also included a few fine motor activities. The Nuts about Counting and the Scoop-A-Bug are all things they could play with to strengthen their fine motor skills.

I am excited to introduce these materials to my students as soon as possible.
