My Project
Students attend school to do more than read and write, they also come to learn about themselves. Part of my job this year is to support the whole child and these books, games, toys, and tools will allow me to provide a safe space for students who need extra support in their social and emotional learning.
Social and emotional support is so important to children, especially post-pandemic.
We are seeing more and more students needing help in regulating anger and anxiety throughout their day. These tools will allow me to work with small groups of students throughout the day and offer them the support they need in a relaxed and fun environment. These items will be utilized in a fun and creative way, to help support these at-risk students and help them build confidence, and social skills. These tools will help students learn and put into practice skills such as empathizing with others, social skills, and strategies for regulating emotions.
