Help me give my students the materials they need to learn how to regulate their emotions and provide a safe place for them to go when they need to calm down.
Our students need a safe place to calm down and self regulate. A calming corner is a place where students can go when their feelings are so big they need a little time and space to get back in control. Our calming corner will have resources to help students learn self regulation strategies. These included different types of breathing strategies, Yoga cards for relaxing poses, fidgets, comfy spots to sit, and books that help everyone learn about the importance of peaceful bodies.
Everybody needs a place to go where they have time, space and resources to help them calm down.
Please help our school create a calming corner for all students to use.
