My Project

Second grade is an exciting year where students grow tremendously both academically and developmentally. I believe a welcoming classroom is crucial in providing an environment where children can thrive.

Students' mental health and social emotional well-being is one of our top priorities.

For this reason, I am building a calming corner for the students to be able to practice self-regulating skills and mindfulness. I want to be able to help the children to cope with big emotions in healthy ways using a variety of tools including posters, books, and other materials.
