My Project
My students are often up and about supporting and working with one another. They spend their school days working in partnerships and groups and collaborating on various projects.
My students are compassionate, creative, critical thinkers, communicators, and collaborators. They pride themselves on putting their brains together to solve math problems, doing research, collaborating on a passion project, or working together on a presentation.
We're a diverse elementary school located in a Bay Area suburb. Many students are second generation and speak multiple languages. We pride ourselves on balancing academics with character development and life skills.
The goal of this project is to add more high-interest books to our classroom library. My hope is that all of my students will find a book or genre that sparks a love of reading that they will carry with them as they grow. The books include fantasy and historical fiction graphic novels, fantasy genre books, books that address diversity and acceptance, and even a choose your own adventure book!
