This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have an incredibly diverse group of students with many experiences and perspectives. This year I will be teaching my Art 1 students several mediums and avenues within the arts. One medium that I hear my students want to learn is how to use Prismacolor markers when creating illustrations. With these supplies students will be able to develop the skills to incorporate other mediums with Prismacolor markers and create beautiful illustrations of forms they find in nature.

These illustration supplies will be the foundation for my students to create a mixed media drawing of forms in nature.

The donations to this project will help my students develop and understand the foundations for more how to approach mixed media and be successful. As well as open up how many different career paths are available for artists in illustration.
