This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a first year teacher, so I don’t know too much about my students bedsides their names. My first project is aimed towards our classroom!
Most of my students are from low-income families and neighborhoods.
I am teaching 5th grade students. Most of them ate African-American students but I hope this doesn’t change the fact that we still need the binders for our classroom. I have put out much of my money but can’t afford to purchase anything else of of pocket.
My Project
These binders will help me and my students with organization. I will make tabs for reading logs, vocabulary words, and writing prompts. This will make teaching guidebooks a breeze. Though we have a digital platform, technology can fail sometimes. We will start out on paper and gradually work our way to the computer. The students will still be allowed to utilize their binders for studying and homework as well. I will provide the dividers for each binder, it was just costly to buy 80 single binders. I thank you all in advance!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
