My Project

Our 5th grade students have worked hard, not just this year, but throughout their elementary school career; learning, and growing their minds. Help us to celebrate the 2024-2025 cohort of 5th graders who are promoting to middle school this May! We're asking for snacks and supplies to make their end of the year even sweeter.

Thank you in advance for providing our students with healthy options to give them fuel to play during this fun filled day of celebrating their successes in elementary school.

Snacks will be shared at our end of the year picnic. The picnic is an opportunity for students to escape the academic rigors of the classroom for a day. Teachers, students, family and community members come together to host a cook out, and day party for the 5th graders. On this walking field trip we will need the energy the requested snacks provide to get us through the busy day!

Gift bags will be created for the day students promote. We like to give our students a token of our appreciation, sending them on their way with something to remember their experience here at Laurel by! The tote bags, bracelets, and lion necklaces (our school mascot!) will give students somewhere to hold their certificate the day of promotion, and

We are a Title I, public elementary school, in East Oakland, California. Our student body population is as diverse as the city we live in. Many of our students come from low income, or have challenging socio-economic home lives. The 5th grade team appreciates the support you provide for our scholars!
