This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are some of the most resilient, strong, caring, and loving people I know. They are passionate about learning. They like reading a variety of identity books about race, gender, culture, body image, and more! We read books that represent a diverse group of identities. We like reading together in a circle to feel a sense of connection and community. On this new rug, my students will have a special place to gather comfortably in order to do a variety of read alouds, identity activities, and independent reading time.
