Help me give my students supplies, sensory toys, and math toys to help engage them in their learning for math class, as well as to provide support in a way they'll feel comfortable and cared for!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many students find it difficult to concentrate or be engaged in the classroom. It has been recommended that teachers provide students with fidget toys to help students be relaxed and calm in class. I feel that many students during COVID-19 had a difficult time socializing and getting to know new people, and wanting to come to school while staying at home! Therefore, providing students with supplies that will prepare them for school, rewarding them with treasure box prizes, providing a bean bag chair if they ever need a moment to calm down, and fidget toys when they feel stressed are wonderful ways to support our students who need these.
I believe my students are special because they all have a story to tell.
They are all bright individuals who can accomplish great things; and it's important that we give them the things they need to accomplish those things! My students come from demographics where many live in poverty, some do not always get a good amount of sleep, some rely on school-reduced lunch. But, they come to school and still learn and do their best to show how much knowledge they know! They always want to show off when they do something great to their teachers, and I want them to continue to do that! I want them to be proud of themselves and their progress with learning!
