Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an energetic and charismatic group of fifth graders from East Harlem in New York City. They have diverse learning styles, all which make them unique and creative individuals. They are very witty, intelligent, hard-working, open-minded and dedicated.

My Project

Students are entering into classrooms that have been totally transformed from the "typical" classrooms they are used to. This year, students will need to use individualized materials in order to limit the spread of germs.

Students will create their very own pencil cases, which will hold the tools to their success: their pencils!

In addition, students will use post-it notes to jot down important ideas, newly learned concepts and questions they have throughout the day.

Cleaning sprays and wipes will help keep our classroom environment safe and clean for everyone.
