I am the proud teacher of 22 creative and hard working first and second graders. Their dedication to our class community and their academics is inspiring. We have a very diverse group of students with all types of interests and skills. Together we teach one another, listen to each other’s ideas, and collaborate to improve our learning. Each day my students walk into the classroom ready to learn with positive attitudes. We incorporate technology, hands on projects, and small group instruction to ensure each day is full of academic exploration and creativity. My students are growing into impressive, independent, and intelligent scholars.
My Project
Our students are excited and happy to be back together in the classroom after months of virtual learning. Our students missed the hands on experiences the classroom offers, specifically STEM activities, while they were learning from home.
I want to provide engaging and interesting building materials for our students to be creative and become engineers together.
It is magical when students get to have fun, collaborate, and explore together. The Magna-Tiles, Geoboards, and Brain Flakes are exciting materials the students will love building together.
Additionally, our students have created a strong classroom community and love to help each other. I want to provide a safe and welcoming classroom atmosphere and have various books that demonstrate kindness for our students to read and enjoy.
I can't wait to watch them build, create, and continue to develop their friendships!
