Each day, my students are excited and ready to learn! This enthusiasm stems from a classroom environment that values collaboration, kindness, and a growth mindset. My students learn by doing.
This is a vibrant group of middle schoolers who come from a variety of cultural, economic, and linguistic backgrounds.
These differences help to create an accepting and supportive environment. My school site and classroom foster collaboration between teachers, parents, and children so that each child's needs are met.
My Project
These books will be added to my classroom library to update it and make it more reflective of the diverse readers and learners in my classroom.
With students back in the classroom, we need high interest books that will keep them turning the pages with excitement.
My students will experience the freedom to choose a book based on their interests falling in love with literature again. By adding books by diverse authors with diverse characters, my students will see themselves reflected in these books and hopefully make more connections and become more engaged and willing readers.
