My Students

I have 25 amazing transitional kindergarten students. Over 75% of them speak a second language and many of my students are English language learners. Yes, there is a wide range of abilities, interests, and learning styles in our class. My TK class is unique in that we also participate in some activities with older kindergarten students regularly.

My Project

Through play, young children use their imagination and creativity, develop problem-solving and social skills, learn to communicate and think, and much more. Puppets allow children to create, tell, and act out stories, multicultural and diverse figurines encourage inclusivity, board games help them learn to take turns and follow rules, dressing boards help them develop their fine motor skills and teaches students how to button, snap, and tie strings. Lastly, having access to a color printer will allow me to create visuals to support my students, and especially my English language learners.
