Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The focus of our school is to prepare the students for either going to college or into a career after high school.
My students are eager to learn the concepts being taught this year.
In middle school, we are increasing the topics being taught. Having some extra motivation hopefully helps to increase their retention of knowledge and helps them to exceed expectations this year.
My Project
One of the struggles in many math classrooms is that math is one of the hardest struggles for many students. We are constantly learning of ways to engage our students so that they develop a better understanding of the math concepts. One area is using a device to have my students develop teaching videos. The students will use the Samsung tablet to explain how they solve problems. The case will help protect the tablet from any unforeseen accidents such as falling off desks. This is a great way for me to catch any misunderstandings and encourage my students to grow!
Learning math should be fun, engaging, and successful so that students will want to learn more for years to come.
Technology has been proven time and time again that it helps to interest students. Please help make math more fun with tablets!
