This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are attending our school in Mansfield. The focus of our school is to prepare the students for either going to college or into a career after high school. The group of students I have this year are amazing. They have so much ambition and stride to complete their 6th grade year and enter into their next milestones in 7th grade. The students love a learning environment that is relaxing and calm. I will do anything in my power to provide this to them so their success is made.
My Project
Have you ever been sitting in class and wonder what does a word mean? In 6th grade students are learning how to become more independent learners and thinkers. My goal in getting more technology in my classroom, is to give my students more opportunities to work independently.
My students are wonderful and creative thinkers and I want to grow that in my students.
Wit these tablets students will not only be able to research, but will be able to create their own stories that they can share with their classmates. With typing and a word processor, students can spell check to ensure they are spelling words correctly. This will help them learn old and new words and give them a confidence boost to help with their success.
