The students at our elementary school are wonderful. We have around 50 different languages spoken throughout our school. Our school is one of the most diverse schools in all of Chicago. So many different countries are represented in our hallways and students learn so much from each other since they have so many different backgrounds.
Students love to read and learn.
In our school library, students do many fun projects that keep their minds stimulated and engaged. Students enjoy coming to the library to pick out books and do projects.
My Project
We have such wonderful students at our school and a great new library but it needs a bit of "love." By love I mean it needs to feel homey for kids to come and want to read and stay in the space. I love the idea of cozying up to a book but our library space needs some posters and plants to make it feel warm and relaxing. These items would stay at the school library and they would be enjoyed by every student at our school. Thank you for considering this project.
