"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
The students I teach are so excited to experience the process of making and creating art, the hardly notice they are becoming artists themselves. They are excited to learn new skills and experience materials that are new to them.
My Project
Printmaking is such an amazing experience for students. It is an art form that they don't get to experience often because the supplies doesn't often fit into most regular art budgets.
The oooohs and ahhs that you hear when the students pull their first print are the most exciting sounds of the art room!
Having ink, brayers, ez-cut rubber, and the linoleum cutters, will give my students the full printing experience that they crave. Carving their ideas into linoleum, covering it with ink, and pulling multiple copies is one of the most exciting art experiences they will ever have.
