Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Exciting and hands-on materials and resources are needed to inspire my low-income, English Language Learning eighth-grade students into becoming better readers and writers.
The majority of my students are English Language Learners that need exposure to English through literature and support in the areas of vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.
Many of my students come from families where both parents work so they have many responsibilities after school caring for siblings and their homes. The neighborhood is impoverished. I do everything I can for them, but we thrive on any additional resources we are given that help my students along the way.
My Project
A gift to each of our graduates will help us send them off to high school knowing they are loved, cared for, and appreciated. My students have worked so hard despite the many personal and academic challenges they have faced during this COVID Pandemic. They ALL deserve to be acknowledged and appreciated as they prepare for the next chapter in their life. This pandemic has already taken so much away from them. Please help me put a smile on their faces. Help me give each of them a tumbler of treats!
