My Students
My students are growing up in area's similar to the area that I grew up. Low income and poverty-stricken areas. Never having a chance to see beyond what's right in front of their little eyes. My students experience personal challenges daily. Each student has a different challenge and each student is unique in their own way. My students have many different disabilities but each has spunk and a love for exploring and learning.
They love to explore and learn when given the opportunity.
My student's need toy wagons when we take them to the park for community outings. Some have difficulty walking due to their disabilities. We need tricycles to help our kids with motor skills, some have never had a bike before and when they see other kids in the park they are amazed and have the desire to try, but have not had the opportunity. Our students need motion moving ball chairs in our classroom. We need a comfortable cot for some of our students who have epilepsy and need a place other than the floor to rest after an epileptic occurrence.
My Project
My project is to help my students get restocked on some of their favorite items that they have used up this school year. My students love to paint and express themselves. We need more paint supplies and art supplies to restock items used.
Please help my students continue to learn and express themselves through painting with art supplies.
I have so many students that love to show write pictures, words, and sentences along with their art expression. This allows them to express who they really are and through the things they love and enjoy.
