Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. I have high expectations that my students will grow and achieve beyond the expectations set for them. We study STEM topics such as robotics, engineering, and coding along with our curriculum.

School is a safe and fun place for my students.

They enjoy coming to school and learning through hands-on, engaging activities. For many of my students, school is the highlight of their day.

My Project

This project will give my students a designated place to work collaboratively while still maintaining social distancing protocols in the classroom. Without good rugs, the tile floor is a hard and cold place to work.

If my students had a designated place to sit, they wouldn't be confined to their desks for eight hours a day.

My students enjoy sitting in places that are not their desks. Right now, we do not have another option that is not the cold, hard floor.

I can't wait to see my students' faces when they see they have a fun, new place to learn!
