The student athletes were are trying to help is the football team. The team is made up of a variety of students from all different cultures. Most of our players are playing organized football for the first time. Most live in the neighborhood area and attend our general admission school. Over 95% of our students are from low-income families and receive free lunch. I believe that football is helping this group of student-athletes becoming outstanding future adults.
My Project
The new football season is just around the corner. As a coach, I was thinking besides players what else do we need to be successful next season. We need new footballs, a game ball prep kit, and tack spray for the upcoming season and with no fundraising during the past year, we were not able to buy any footballs for the past season and we need new ones for the upcoming season. The footballs help our offense get the practice we need to succeed in the upcoming season. The more footballs we have, the more repetitions we get throwing and catching that our players need during practice. Also with Covid-19 protocols we need to clean the football during our practice. We have a great bunch of players that are also returning for the upcoming season in just a few months.
