I teach math and science in a Title I school. My students have showed great perseverance and resilience in the strangest year ever. Most of my students started out as virtual students due to COVID-19 restrictions. The students and their parents had to learn a new platform because we switched from Google Classroom to Canvas. They have worked hard this year and as restrictions lifted they started coming back to campus. Every step of the way, the students have made great strides to learn in new ways. They continue to make progress despite the challenges we face due to safety protocols. I am very proud of my students and their parents as they took on these circumstances.
My Project
Teachers pay Teachers has many great digital resources to help student learn both at home and on campus. Due to COVID restrictions, I teach both virtual and face to face students concurrently. These digital resources would help meet the needs of all the students. The whiteboards and erasers will help me see the face to face students responses while also helping virtual students. The card stock will allow me create and send virtual students the same task cards that we use in the building. Due to safety protocols, all students must have their own supplies. The supplies I am requesting will allow me to do this with high quality resources.
