This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are bright and beautiful lights in an often dim world of violence. They are eager to learn, but they often don't have the tools to succeed. I teach special education at this school. Many of my students are eager to learn and have a great drive to succeed. We are asking for donations to support them and help them to have the technology they need to listen to lessons and respond during remote learning.
My Project
My students are at school from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. During this time, they don't get a snack break and the lunch provided by my school is less than appealing. I am asking for snacks to help keep my students motivated to finish a long day of sitting at their computer during remote learning.
An afternoon snack break keeps them engaged and excited to finish up lessons on the computer.
These healthy snacks will be a treat for them to motivate them to stay focused and on task during the morning. A lot of my students do not get adequate nutrition at home and a healthy snack is needed to increase brain power during the day!
