My students are thoughtful, creative, and love hands-on learning! They enter the classroom with their best foot forward and eager to learn. Many come from low-income families, are English Language Learners and some have special needs. It does not matter in this room because we are all a team. My students are amazing at working on projects together and helping each other out. One of the best learning tools that they have is each other! They realize that they need to be responsible for their actions and are caretakers of their environment.
"What you put into it is what you get out of it" is a saying that is used in our classroom.
The students help each other take their learning experiences and self-awareness to a whole new level. They put all that they have into their thoughtful, creative, and hands-on learning. They even run their own groups and guide each other. I am very proud of each and every one of my students!
My Project
Access to materials on Teachers Pay Teachers will benefit more than 200 students both at home and at school. I am a 5th and 6th grade Language Arts teacher and have three classes in each grade level. The material that I would be able to purchase would make an AMAZING connection to my curriculum. It also helps to link the relationship between my students learning in person and my students learning from home. We will be able to use these resources as many times as we would like. The resources connect to the Common Core State Standards that both grade levels need to know. These resources will help to make learning fun, keep students engaged, and connect with my curriculum throughout a year.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
