My Students
My students are big dreamers and fun-loving kids. They come from low-income households in Chicago, IL and have very little. Many students lack basics to keep them learning and thriving.
Many of my students lack the support and financial necessities to have a great life, let alone a deserving high school experience.
It is important to me that my students have the best experience possible. I strive to do the best I can, and it's very important for me that they know that I go the extra mile to show them how much I care about them.
My students understand the importance of having an education and how their success in high school influences their journey after. They are also aware that they need the right tools to succeed. As their teacher, I want to be able to provide them a positive learning experience that will lead them to be amazing and do great things.
My Project
For a successful and interrupted learning environment it is imperative to have an updated laptop. The new MacBook Air laptop I have requested will provide students with reliable instruction and collaboration with each other. Google Meets is one of our main sources of communication, and unfortunately, having an outdated laptop prevents having a reliable way to connect with each other.
With this laptop, the students will be able to receive instruction and collaborate via an updated system.
Thus, the learning outcome my students can achieve is a reliable way to learn and collaborate with their classmates and myself.
It’s tough teaching virtually when we would all love to go back to “normal,” therefore, having working technology to communicate with each other would be a great way to end the school year.
