This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are enthusiastic and eager to learn. They are motivated to gain knowledge and look forward to new challenges. My class is full of energy. They have a love for learning which inspires me. They explore their world through hands-on experiences and work to create learning opportunities that are sparked by my students' interest, questions, and building upon their prior knowledge. I would love to bring more materials into my classroom to enhance my curious learners. In my class, we spend time ensuring that students have the opportunity to teach each other. They have opportunities to share what they find by learning through one another.
My school is a K-8 public school in a low-income community located southeast of Chicago.
The majority of the students receive free lunch and many deal with a lot of challenges in their community.
My Project
The more quality speakers will help my in person students to hear better. I currently have speakers that work, however it is not loud enough when I present a video that my in person students tend to lose focus. I would like my in person students to be able to hear better, just like my remote learners. This will help them to be more focused and active learners. They will be able to focus their attention on the skills and lessons that I present because they will be able to hear better in the classroom setting.
