Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are a group of the smartest little learners in my entire school! They come from different backgrounds; some ride the bus in from far away neighborhoods and some live across the street. We are a blended Special Education and Bilingual classroom within a school that is 90%+ free or reduced-price lunch.
Pre-kindergarten is one of the most important grades in school.
It is the time when students get hooked on education. The best way to hook them is with adapted materials that will allow them to learn in an individualized way.
My Project
My students are three and four year olds who had to begin their educational career via google meets. These young students learn best with hands-on materials.
As we slowly and safely return to school my students need systems and materials to become independent learners.
Items like cubbies and rolling storage bins give each student the ability to have a place of their own; a place for material safe keeping.
Not only do these materials help with independent functioning skills but they also help students problem solve. Students know where supplies are located in the classroom they can foster independence through movement.
