Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a low-income community, located on the southeast side of Chicago. They inspire me and others, to learn from one another in exceptional and endless ways each day.
My students are not given the same resources as students who attend suburban schools, yet they are special because they strive to be the best they can, and no matter the challenges, they succeed.
As a freshman teacher, supporting our 9th graders has truly been a blessing for me. My students are motivated and always take every day as an opportunity to grow.
My Project
COVID -19 has effected every teacher, and how their classroom will look for the next couple of years.. As students are returning to the school for in-person instruction, I want to be able to provide them with all the safety and cleaning resources that they need in order to feel safe and sanitized in the classroom. This will let my students know that they are being cared for in various ways ! Personal hand sanitizer, dispenser, Lysol sprays and wipes will assist in cleaning students' work stations before and after they are being used.
