I have a wonderful group of second-grade students who are ready to learn. Although our classroom looks different this year, we are a team. Our goals are the same, and together my students will succeed. My students' places can go to are boundless as long as they have the right tools to get there.
My classroom includes students at all levels of learning.
Most of my students come from low-income homes. Many of them are English language learners who absorb words like sponges. They love both reading and math and are always up for a challenge. My students are always learning both in and outside the classroom. They are a hardworking bunch!
My Project
I would love to send home books with my students to read at home and then discuss them in breakout rooms. My students need books they want to read! High-interest books at the right level for my young readers.
Your funding for this project will allow me to send home books with my students to read and discuss with friends online.
We discussed what books students would like, and these are the titles they picked. I would love to surprise them with the perfect book in their take-home bags.
