My Students

Students come to see me all day, every day. They all come with emotional or physical needs. Some are happy, some are not. I try to put them all back on the path to happy.

Most of what I see in a day is anxiety-related.

I see a high volume of students just because the size of our school is large. Most students are healthy and are able to return to class.

Kids nowadays have more anxiety and stress and need the skills to cope. The students here are motivated and love school. It is a fun place to go to school. We have many wellness opportunities for the kids.

My Project

This course will enable me to teach children and parents much-needed mental health coping skills. It would also help me to treat acute mental health issues in the clinic and make referrals as needed.

I will apply this course to assist parents in identifying and treating their child's mental health issues.

This will also help assist students to deal with their stressors in their lives.

This project will be used several times a year in the form of inservices for students and parents. These inservices will be given by myself at the school.
