Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an amazing group of loving, bilingual students. This year, my students have impressed me in the way they show love and care for each other. My students consistently find ways to help each other and cheer each other up. My students communicate their feelings, thoughts, and ideas with me in a lot of different ways. Some things they write to me in the chat, but in the middle of teaching, I miss some comments. The students always find a respectful way to let me know what their classmates need or offer assistance without my asking.
During these difficult times, I ask that you help me share the love with my students!
My Project
I have been fortunate to received a couple of books for my library. Unfortunately, I do not have bins to organize my library. As you can imagine, I can not have piles of books on the floor and call that a library. I will use the bins to teach my students how to organize books. My students will classify books by non-fiction, science for fiction, biographies, fiction, and by series. My students also do research for their personal narrative. Having the books classified will help the students easily find the books they need.
