Help me give my students table toys including Slot & Shape Builders, Stretch & Connect Builders, Pose & Play Families, and Snap Dinos for individualized and cooperative play.
My diverse pre-kindergarten students are curious, creative, adventurous, boisturious, and motivated to learn! They are eager to immerse in new learning experiences and opportunities to explore the world around them. They use our dramatic play areas and materials, sensory and art materials, and learning toys to expand their world of knowledge.
I strive to create an engaging, creative, safe, and fun classroom that promotes learning as well as cognitive, social, and emotional development.
My Project
This year's unusual circumstances has forced me to reevaluate the materials in my classroom. So many items had to be removed, that my students are lacking in some important learning experiences.
The materials in this project will bridge that gap and create experiences for exploration, hands-on learning, speech and language growth, and cooperative parallel play.
The wild animal, dinosaur and castle puzzles will allow for differentiated learning based on my students' skill sets. Alphabots will promote phonetic awareness and fine motor skills. Slot & Shape Builders and stack & build soft blocks will introduce beginning science and engineering skills. The Snap Dinos and Stretch & Connect Builders will sharpen hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
All of these materials will promote basic learning concepts in my classroom while being safe and easily cleaned. I believe they will promote language, fine motor development, basic science and engineering, cooperation, and creativity, all while my young learners have fun playing during their "work time!"
