Help me give my students their own space, socially distanced with their own three drawer carts to store their items safely as well as photo organizer cases, buttons, ocean counters, and more.
My students are resilient, creative, amazing children. They support each other no matter their differences. My students are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. They use American Sign Language to communicate.
They truly represent "Deaf people can do anything except hear."
My students range in age from kindergarten to fifth grade. They are Deaf/ Hard of Hearing. Some wear hearing aids, some wear cochlear implants and some have no amplification. They come from varied experiences in their families, social economical and deafness.
I am always so proud to be their teacher. They have accomplished amazing things.
My Project
I have been getting wonderful items for sensory breaks, learning materials, and independent play for my students. Many items have been individualized due to restrictions on sharing due to COVID-19. We are also limited in our space since we are keeping our 6 feet of social distancing.
I would love for my students to be organized and have many options of materials at their finger tips in three drawer carts that can be next to their desks.
Our school has turned off the water fountains so our students have been bringing their own water bottles. Unfortunately the condensation is running off onto their work. They would like coasters to help that and ones they would like to personalize.
Working individually can get boring so I want to brighten up our task boxes with colorful options like colored clothes pins, buttons, and animal counters.
