My Students

My students are in a wide range of ages and abilities. Every student is gifted but finding out what they are gifted in can be difficult. Being the school Media Specialist, I see and work with all the students in the building.

Our community is a small, rural area next to a large expanding county.

This can make it hard sometimes for our economically challenged students. My students are hard workers, but they need more to work with and they need inspiration.

My Project

At our school, headphones or earbuds are listed as a required school supply item. Yet many of our students don't have them. Students go to our computer labs or use Chromebooks daily for RTI instruction and they also have a once a week computer skills class. The biggest reason seems to be a money issue for many of our parents, especially when they have two or three or even four students in school.

By helping my students with this project, they will all be able to hear online instruction.

I use videos for an introduction to a lot of our lessons and most of our RTI has the ability to read it to our students.
