This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom rug is an important learning space in the classroom. I am new to teaching 4th grade, my classroom does not have a learning rug. The classroom rug is the center of the learning. This rug will be new, colorful, and inviting. This rug will help students establish boundaries in finding their own space and assist with daily routines. This rug will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students. This rug will give a happy and safe place for my students. Lastly, a rug is necessary for student learning that is free from the distractions of/around their desks.

My school is a Title 1 school, where it is imperative that we focus on student learning and well-being.

This rug will provide just that for my students.
