My Students

My fourth graders are a joy because they LOVE school! They are so glad be in our classroom reading, writing, solving math problems, and working collaboratively on projects. They enthusiastically share their thoughts during group discussions, and they are always ready to lend a hand to any classmate who needs it.

As first-generation Americans and immigrants, my students are an inspiration.

Although they speak a variety of languages at home with their families (such as Spanish, Russian, Uzbek, Georgian, Chinese, and Urdu to name just a few) they all work hard in our classroom to communicate effectively in English. I am in awe of how eagerly my students approach the task of learning fourth grade skills and content, as well as a whole new language!

My Project

As Benjamin Franklin said, "A place for everything and everything in its place." This notion allows our busy classroom to function smoothly. And without this notion, a classroom can become a confusing mess. Teaching children to care for books and supplies is essential in an elementary classroom.

Students deserve to know that they and their hard work are valued.

Providing a warm, welcoming, clean, and well-organized classroom is necessary for all students to optimize their time in school. Every student needs a special place to properly store their learning materials and school supplies. Chairback buddy seat pockets allow them to organize their things and contribute to the upkeep of their classroom.
