Help me give my students supplies that they use daily in the classroom in Reading and Writing. We are eager learners that, given the tools, are able to achieve our learning goals.

My Students
In our classroom, we are a community of learners and leaders. All 50 of my students have the potential to make a real impact in this world. In an urban, inner-city school, like ours, many of our students cannot afford school supplies and the resources to take their learning to the next level. These students do, however, have the passion to achieve their dreams. In my class, we have future lawyers, teachers, doctors, musicians, sport athletes, and true leaders in our society.
These students are not only special, they are remarkable.
I wake up every morning excited about what the day will bring and not only what I will provide to my students, but also, what they will provide me in return. Laughter, smiles, and seeing the "awh ha" moments every single day, as they continue to battle against their weaker skills, to bridging the gaps in their learning and celebrating successes and accomplishments.
My Project
We are requesting headphones, notebooks and pencils. These materials help in the daily instructional learning of the students. With these essential supplies, students are able to focus on their learning rather than be upset they don't have a notebook or pencil. As a teacher, I strive to provide as much as I can to my students and look for eager and helpful individuals who want to take a chance on my classroom of learners by supporting our projects.
Students need the basic materials in order to achieve the feeling of success.
This class utilizes computer-based learning programs daily to strengthen their reading skills. Headphones are crucial for them to concentrate on their individualized learning paths. Our students do not have pencils at home and they consistently use their pencils. Every week, I send home pencils for their use to complete homework. By doing this, as well as always having pencils for them in class, we run through boxes of pencils very quickly. By having ample materials in the classroom, students are able to utilize and demonstrate their continuous learning and growth.
