My Students

My students are 4th graders who are curious, compassionate, and thoughtful. They are full of wonder and questions. Often times, they are so interested to complete projects or tasks, but we lack resources to complete them. They come eagerly to take on the learning that we are completing!

My Project

My students are in need of more books. They are motivated to learn and increase their fluency and comprehension skills, but often are stuck with the lack of variety and books in the library. They have been tirelessly reading the same ones over and over.

They enjoy reading and using the books to help build their literacy skills.

Every day in class, they have a designated time to read and annotate a book on their level from the library. They use the books to answer questions and learn/use a variety of literacy strategies.
